HaPpY NeW YeAr 2011 !!!!!!!!

Hace justo un año que llegábamos a Singapur dispuestos a empezar esta aventura. Entonces no sabíamos lo que nos iba a deparar el 2010...y ahora, doce meses después tengo que admitir que ha sido, posiblemente, el mejor año de nuestras vidas. Sólo podemos dar las gracias por todo lo bueno que hemos tenido la suerte de vivir este año, y esperar que el nuevo año sea, por lo menos, tan bueno como ha sido este. Gracias a todos los que habéis estado ahí siguiendo el blog, ya que sin vosotros esto no hubiera tenido sentido...y gracias también a todos aquellos que han participado activamente en él, ya que junto a ellos hemos vivido momentos inolvidables.

It's been a year since we arrived in Singapore to start this journey. We didn't know by then what 2010 would bring.... and now, 12 months later we have to admit that 2010 has been the best year of our lives. We can only be grateful for all the good things that we have been lucky to live this year. We hope that the coming years will be, at least, as good as the last one. Thanks to the ones who came with us during this journey, the ones who followed this blog and made things easier on the other side of the ocean. This could not have been possible without your support.

Our INSEAD is partially gone. But our friends, our experience and our P6 will last forever!

TRAPPED IN PARIS

Atrapados en Paris...eso es lo que nos sucedió el pasado Miércoles cuando decidimos ir a pasar el día a la ciudad y, de repente y sin previo aviso, empezó una intensa tormenta de nieve que dejó todo Paris completamente colapsado. Para que os hagáis una idea, el trayecto a Fontainebleau que, en condiciones normales dura unos 40 minutos, fue de 6 interminables horas !!!

..eso sí, como siempre, tuve la ocasión de fotografiar un Paris inédito ...

Trapped in Paris...that's exactly what happened to us last Wednesday when we decided to go to Paris for lunch and, suddenly, what was rain became a snow storm which collapsed Paris in just an hour. 

Just to say that the way back to Fontainebleau, which takes usually 40 minutes, this time took 6 never-ending hours !!!!

...but, at least, I had the chance to take some awesome pictures …

at least we had some entertainment :)

IN LOVE WITH THE ALPS

El tiempo vuela en Insead, especialmente cuando se acerca el final de este año ...

es por eso que este pasado fin de semana disfrutamos  del que supone nuestro último viaje de Insead... al menos para mí, ya que a Eibol aún le espera el viaje de graduación en Sri Lanka ;)

En esta ocasión fuimos a pasar tres días a un chalet increíble en Chamonix, en los alpes franceses, con un grupo de 14 estudiantes con los que compartimos jornadas de ski, aprés ski, cenas,vinos y risas, muchas risas !!

El chalet en sí mismo bien vale el viaje de seis horas desde Fontainebleau, pero si además le añades las espectaculares vistas al Mont Blanc, y la oportunidad de estrenar las pistas de ski en el primer fin de semana de la temporada, entonces el resultado es un viaje irrepetible.

Time flies at Insead, specially when the end of this year is approaching...

that's why last weekend we could enjoy our last trip at Insead, at least for me since Eibol is flying to Sri Lanka next Sunday for his grad trip ;)

This time we spent three awesome days in Chamonix, in the french alps, with a group of 14 Inseaders with whom we enjoyed ski days, aprés ski, dinners, wines and laughs !!

The chalet itself was so amazing that the six hours journey from Fontainebleau were totally worth it, but if we  add the incredible landscape, the amazing views of the Mont Blanc, and the chance of using the ski slopes for the first time this season, then the result is an unforgettable trip.

AFRICAN WEEK

La última semana nacional en Insead nos ha dejado un buen ambiente africano, a pesar de que el frío polar no acompañaba, y hemos podido disfrutar en el campus de té a la menta, pastelería marroquí, mercadillo y danzas africanas y algún que otro visitante de lo más peculiar...

The last  national week at Insead has been the african week. Despite of the freezing cold weather , we could feel the african atmosphere in campus thanks to the absolute delightful moroccan pastry, mint tea, market and african dances, and a very particular visitor...

INSEAD TAKES BARCELONA

Por fín llegó !!!... el esperado viaje a Barcelona organizado por Eibol , para un total de 43 estudiantes de Insead venidos de Fonty, dispuestos a  disfrutar de un completo fin de semana en la ciudad condal ;)

La verdad es que fue mejor de lo que podíamos imaginar, ya que el ambiente en la ciudad y el sol nos acompañaron en todo momento.

Se ha pasado muy rápido, pero nos queda un buen recuerdo, y la certeza de saber que nuestra ciudad cuenta con unos cuantos admiradores más ;)

Ha sido todo un placer hacer de anfitriones en este viaje de Insead, sobretodo por haber contado con un magnífico grupo dispuesto a divertirse y disfrutar al máximo !!

Last week we flew to Barcelona to spend the entire weekend with 43 Inseaders coming from Fonty ;))

the entire trip was organized by Aibol and I have to recognize that it has been an absolute success !!! we were lucky with the sunny weather and with the atmosphere we could feel all around the city.

The time ran really fast, but at least, we can say with no doubt, that our beloved city has a few more admirers ;)

It has been a real pleasure to be the hosts in this Insead trip, specially because we counted on a fantastic group of students ready to rock !!!
